Recognition is the first single from the upcoming Fremmand EP. The song shows a darker and more gritty side of Fremmand, with hints of the early eighties' post-punk.
The myth of the Phoenix bird has inspired the lyrics to Recognition and is about immortality, resurrection and life after death.
The band has teamed with keyboard connoisseur Abdulla S, who has added some edgy synths to the track. Producer Michael Patterson (NIN/Kanye West) has mixed the song in his LA studio.
